History
Hemsökt Museum opened in 2021 in Borås as Sweden's first museum dedicated entirely to haunted and allegedly cursed objects. Founded by Tony Martinsson and Niclas Laaksonen of LaxTon Ghost Sweden (est. 2014), the museum spans about 450 m² and displays hundreds of items collected from haunted locations in Sweden and abroad. LaxTon built its reputation through YouTube, podcasts, live investigations and haunted-location events before creating the museum from years of collected objects linked to reported paranormal activity.
Legends
Visitors report sudden anxiety, sadness, nausea, headaches and chills. Notable areas include the Black Mirror Room (mirrors described as portals; shadows and figures reported), a Borgvattnet-inspired room with furniture tied to Sweden's famous vicarage, and a Horror Room (15+) with intense scare elements. Staff, guests and security footage have been associated with unexplained sounds and sensations. Reported objects include antique dolls, haunted mirrors, religious artifacts and personal belongings from allegedly haunted homes.
